My BBQ style is what I like to call a fusion of my Detroit roots mixed in with my Kansas City inspiration which is a mixture of delicious dry rubs, Hickory & Mesquite smoke and tangy and sweet Homemade Sauces.

Creole Cajun

I found my Creole and Cajun inspiration from my Creole Mom, Mary Lou. She was born in Shreveport, LA and carried her love for Bayou Cuisine to Detroit as a teenager, and passed that love on to me. I also LOVE my travels to New Orleans were my love for the cajun cuisine grew.

My Southern Roots run deep with a father hailing from the ATL and mother from Shreveport, my childhood kitchen was filled with delicious dishes like Greens, Mac-N-Cheese, Cornbread Dressing and of course Fried Chicken to name a few!!! 

 

Our story begins in a Detroit, MI

My story begins in the South/West side of Detroit, MI watching my Mother Mary Lou feed her seven children and a countless amounts of others throughout the community, with her amazing soul food dishes like Greens, Mac-N-Cheese, Fried Chicken and her AWESOME BBQ. I furthered my love for food, namely Soul and BBQ, during my college days in Kansas City, MO where my love and my inspiration met at the World Famous Gates BBQ, and at that moment I knew that this is what I was destined to do. After tons of trial and error I finally holmed my craft into what I call JUST REAL GOOD FOOD!!! And  I hope you think so too!!!

St. Louis Style Ribs.....$23.00/Slab

  • Slow smoke with Hickory and Mesquite, Dry Rubbed and moistened with CJ’s Sticky Fingers Homemade Sauce.

  • Serves three people per pound, three bones per person.

Pulled Pork Shoulder…..$13.50/pound

  • Slow smoked with Hickory and Mesquite wood, Dry Rubbed and moistened with CJ’s Sticky Fingers Homemade Sauce.

  • Serves two people per pound.

Chicken (Pulled) …..$13.50/pound

  • Slow smoked with Hickory and Mesquite wood, Dry Rubbed and moistened with CJ’s Sticky Fingers Homemade Sauce.

  • Serves two people per pound.

  • Whole Chickens and Chicken Quarters are also available (Pricing provided upon request)

  • Served with CJ’s Sticky Fingers BAMMA BAM BAM WHITE SAUCE.

  • Beef Brisket can be served Chopped for sandwiches, or sliced.

Whole Smoked Turkey …..$45.00/each

  • Slow smoked with Hickory and Mesquite wood, Dry Rubbed and moistened with CJ’s Sticky Fingers Homemade Sauce.

  • Please allow four days to prepare.

Smoked Gold Star Hot Links ….PRICE MAY VARY DUE TO AVAILABILITY

  • Slow smoked with Hickory and Mesquite wood, with that Colorado Famous Gold Star Flavor.

  • One link per person.

SIDES: $3.50/serving

  • Barbeque Baked Beans(served without meat) (with smoked meat added $5.50/serving)

  • Cole Slaw (Homemade with jalapeno or regular)

  • Baked Potato (served with butter and sour cream) (loaded also served with cheese, bacon and chives $4.99/each)

Crispy Fried Chicken …..$17.00/whole chicken/8 pieces

  • Marinated overnight in buttermilk and spices, then battered and fried to a golden brown crispy crust.

  • Served with your choice of salt and pepper, lemon pepper, dipped in CJ’s Spicy Sticky Fingers Sauce.

Crispy Fried Wings ….$2.00/wing

  • Marinated overnight in buttermilk and spices, then battered and fried to a golden brown crispy crust.

  • Served with your choice of salt and pepper, lemon pepper, dipped in CJ’s Spicy Sticky Fingers Sauce, or smothered in homemade gravy.

Roasted Chicken …..$13.50/whole chicken

  • Brined, seasoned and roasted to a golden brown and served in its own chicken broth.

  • Can be smothered in homemade gravy. ($15.00/whole chicken, or quarters).

Crispy Fried Pork Chops ….$13.99/pound

  • Brined, seasoned and fried to a golden brown and served in its own chicken broth.

  • Can be smothered in homemade gravy.

Slow Roasted Turkey Wings …$12.00/pound

  • Brined, seasoned and roasted to a golden brown and served in its own chicken broth.

  • Describe tomorrow.

  • Served as a filet and as a whole fish.

Gumbo …./Market

  • Served with chicken and sausage. Your choice of seafood or all of the above.

  • Also served with rice.

Seafood Boils …./Market

  • Served with fresh corn, red potatoes, sausage, shrimp and your choice of additional seafood.

  • All seafood boils are done onsite and served on customer provided tables with butcher paper and butter.

Fire Grilled Cajun Tossed Seafood …./Market

  • Your choice of fish, crab legs, oysters and shrimp fired grilled and dusted with CJ’s Sticky Fingers Cajun Rubbed.

  • All fire grilled Cajun tossed seafood done onsite, and served to order. (all seafood must be preordered and are made to order, please allow fresh roasting time).

Etoufee …./Market

  • This is a creamy seafood sauce with your choice of crawfish, shrimp and/or chicken and sausage.

  • Also served with rice.

Jambalaya

  • Served with rice, shrimp, sausage and chicken, and stewed tomatoes. (crawfish upon request).

Spicy Creamy Cajun Pasta … /Market

  • In a spicy cream sauce, served over pasta with chicken and shrimp.
